Waka has a dedicated core team of professionals with decades of hands-on experience managing and performing construction projects throughout the western United States and Hawaii. Our staff includes trained and certified construction professionals with expertise in a variety of related support services.

As employee owners, each person has a vested interest in ensuring that every project is successful. In addition, we have a well-established network of technical professionals and labor resources providing the flexibility and depth of expertise to respond to client needs. Our network includes registered engineers, analytical chemists, GPS and modeling specialists, certified asbestos and lead-based paint specialists, mold abatement personnel, equipment operators, and specialty craft labor.

Andy Wilson

President and Senior Project Director

Andy Wilson, founded Waka Group Inc. in October of 2004. Mr. Wilson has over 28 years of experience in direct supervision of construction projects including earthwork, excavation, bridge construction, demolition, sediment and erosion control, concrete, and agriculture. He provides quality management supervision in the areas of transportation, civil, residential, and industrial construction projects.

Mr. Wilson has developed strong working relationships with various state and federal regulators, facilitating development of solutions to project challenges, and successful completion and closeout of projects.
Bryan Ford
General Superintendent/Site Manager

Bryan Ford has over twenty-three (23) years experience in construction Site Supervision.
He also has experience in environmental remediation, landfill operations, demolition and civil projects. Mr. Ford has directed more than 50 earthmoving projects including heavy excavation/demolition in both chemical and radiological contaminated environments, surgical removal of contaminated soil, mass excavation/grading projects ex-situ soil stabilization projects, landfill operations and cap construction, thermal remediation, water, sewer, and storm pipe installation and road construction.

He has successfully completed numerous construction projects in the area of environmental remediation and civil construction. Including but not limited to environmental mass earthwork / deep excavation construction, site remediation, odor control and mitigation, and numerous civil construction projects including utility installation. Mr. Ford is highly certified and is also a competent operator with various types of heavy equipment.

Kris Hinds
Senior Project Manager

Mr. Hinds, Senior Project Manager, joined Waka in 2008. Mr. Hinds has over 22 years of experience in construction with emphasis in environmental restoration, intertidal habitat restoration, regulatory compliance and construction in sensitive environments. Mr. Hinds served as the Project Manager for the Rocky Mountain Arsenal (RMA), Basin F. Waste pile Remediation Project and Enhanced Hazardous Waste Landfill construction projects (fall 2005-Summer 2007). The work was being conducted in a joint cooperation of the US Army, Shell and the USFWS with the overall goal of delisting NPLsites within the boundaries of the former military and industrial use areas and incorporating them into the Rocky Mountain National Wildlife Refuge, the largest urban wildlife refuge in the United States.

Mr. Hinds is highly certified and a welcome addition to our senior team of dedicated professionals.

Arnic L. Robinson
Director of Construction

Mr. Robinson recently joined Waka and holds two degrees: B/S Architectural Engineering from Florida A&M University and Construction Management from Florida State University and has 26 years experience in the field. He was most recently Director of Construction for the Wake Island US Air Force responsible for a number of projects including a new power plant, sewage system and water distribution system.

As a Project Manager, Estimator and Scheduler, Mr. Robinson managed a $50M residential project in Bradbury, CA which included the development and construction of a 1M gallon Trout pound, 1M gallon swimming pool, 7000sq barn/guest house, 6000sf pool house, indoor shooting range and construction of a 23000sq residence. On the flip side but in the same role, Mr. Robinson directed the construction of affordable housing in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area of Florida and for the Ministry of Housing in the Bahamas.

Mr. Robinson was the founder of the United Minority Contractors Association in Los Angeles and following the LA riots served on the committee to “Rebuild Los Angeles”. We are thrilled that Mr. Robinson has joined our team.
